Traffic Control Devices are now in place to manage one lane traffic on the storm damaged section of Alligator Drive. Notification from Franklin County:
“The signals are set to expect people to drive 15 to 20 mph through the one lane section. It will take about 45 seconds for a vehicle going 15 mph to get through the section and for the light in the other direction to change. Drivers can not see to the other end so they will have to rely upon the signals to control traffic. If someone decides to drive at 5mph it is possible they will take too long to get through the one lane, so please advise everyone to drive at a safe, reasonable speed, but keep moving.”
Please be careful, cautious and patient !
