Community Issues and Options Workshop

February 18, 2003

Summary Report

(release announcement)

On February 18, the Florida Conflict Resolution Consortium (FCRC) conducted the first in a series of workshops as part of the Franklin County Community Planning Process.

Additional information about the planning process can be accessed by clicking the "Franklin County Community Planning Process" button located on the APTA homepage.

Approximately 140 attended the Issues and Options Workshop held in the Franklin County Courthouse Annex in Apalachicola. At least nine of those attending were from Alligator Point.

The FCRS has released the Summary Report for the Issues and Options workshop. It is a comprehensive documentation of the dialogues that took place at the workshop. The report describes the planning process and fully describes what took place at the workshop. The voluminous list of ideas presented in Appendix B, Desired Outcomes and Options, represents the many voices that were heard at the first workshop.

If you cannot attend the public workshop you can still provide input:

  • Email your vision, hopes, thoughts, or concerns concerning growth, development, and/or economic development for Franklin County to: ttaylor@fsu.edu.

  • You may also mail your input to: Tom Taylor, FCRC, 2031 East Paul Dirac Drive, #132, Tallahassee, FL 32310
