INFRASTRUCTURE AND PUBLIC SERVICES WORKSHOP REPORT

All who participated in this and the other workshops are to be congratulated for their important contribution to shaping a positive future for Franklin County.

INVOLVE OTHERS!

It is also important to share this work with others and get their input on the draft recommendations that are emerging from this process. Please forward this information to others interested in the future of Franklin County and encourage them to go to the website and rank the acceptability of the recommendations from each of the workshops: http://consensus.fsu.edu/franklin/franksurvey2.html. The survey for workshop 4 should be up in a few days.

NEXT STEPS

  • Compilation of the data and analysis and drafting comprehensive plan update materials by the FSU Consultants

  • Specific issue workshops, task forces and group/agency work on issues raised in the 4 community planning workshops this summer

  • There will be St. James Island Charrette Workshops this Fall.

  • Community consensus workshops in January '04

All are invited to submit written or photo essays, poems or proposals or organize a class or group to. The goal is to get as many as possible to think about the future they want and take a role in shaping it.
