Today I was advised by the new owners of the marina (now Alligator Point Yacht Basin), that they will have a 4th of July cookout for the community from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Friday, July 4th. The cookout will include hot dogs, chips, watermelon and soft drinks.

In addition, the new owners of the marina advised that there will be a parade at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, July 5th, which will organize at and start from the marina. I have no further details on the parade at this time.

Also, don't forget the fireworks on Friday, July 4th, which will start sometime between 9:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. ("good dark") at the "S" curve public beach access on Alligator Drive.
