The annual APTA officers and directors election meeting was held on August 30, 2003, at the Alligator Point Fire Station.

Vicki Barnett, Juanita Gibson, Carol Kimbrough, Vivian Osborne, and Sheila Robertson opened, tabulated, and recorded the ballots. Vicki Barnett read the results of the election.

Of the 321 ballots mailed out to members, 120 (37%) were returned for tabulation. Three of the 120 returned ballots were spoiled and were not counted due to the fact that votes were cast for more than four Board of Directors positions. The election results are as follows:

President - Ken Osborne (103 votes) (88%)

1st Vice President - Linc Barnett (104 votes) (89%)

2nd Vice President - Dick Waters (109 votes) (93%)

Treasurer - Bill Kimbrough (108 votes) (92%)

Secretary - ‘beth Hayes (107 votes) (91%)

The candidates for the four available Board of Director positions receiving the most votes were:

Board Member - Ruth Hambrose (85 votes) (73%)

Board Member - D. J. Thomas (76 votes) (65%)

Board Member - Ann Maruszak (71 votes) (61%)
