Posted April 1, 2004 Alan Pierce to Resign in May The following news item is currently posted on the Oyster Radio webpage: http://www.oysterradio.com/news.asp County Planner Alan Pierce says he will resign from his county position in Mid-May. Pierce, who also serves as county emergency management director and Director of Administrative Services will tender his resignation to the county commission next Tuesday. He says he plans to take a position with the Prebble Rish engineering firm in Gulf County where he will act as a liaison between that company and area county governments. Pierce, who was also running for county clerk of court this year, said he is also dropping out of that race to take the new job. He said he will continue working for the county until Mid-May to help them complete some ongoing projects including the reworking of the county’s comprehensive plan.
