Posted April 12, 2007 Stephen Glazebrook named Auxiliary Deputy for the Alligator Point Communities Mr. Stephen Glazebrook, a resident of Alligator Point, has informed APTA’s President, Ken Osborne that Franklin County Sherriff Mike Mock has agreed to furnish a marked Franklin County Sheriff’s Department vehicle for use in a patrol program for the Alligator Point Communities. Mr. Glazebrook is a retired Florida Department of Law Enforcement officer and has been made an Auxiliary Deputy for the Franklin County Sherriff’s Office (FCSO). In his role, Mr. Glazebrook will provide appropriate liaison with the FCSO for any safety or law enforcement concerns. If conditions or activities are observed during his patrols he is able to directly contact regular FCSO deputies. In addition he will work to develop community patrol policies and procedures. It is important to note however that Mr. Glazebrook will not be able to respond to emergency law enforcement events. Residents and visitors who are in need of immediate law enforcement response must call 911 or the FCSO at 670-8500.
