Information on how you can help is located at www.wakulla.comFire Destroys Home of Florida Wild Mammal Association Director Chris Beatty: HOW YOU CAN HELP"A fire totally destroyed the home of Chris and Mike Beatty located on the Florida Wild Mammal Association property on Edgar Poole Road at around 12:00 noon on Wednesday, September 5. Chris is the director of the Florida Wild Mammal Association (FWMA), a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of injured/orphaned wildlife. Chris, her husband Mike, and their daughter Jessica lost everything in their home to the fire, including their three beloved dogs. They are currently living in a borrowed camper there on the property as they are still caring for several animals who are housed at the refuge. The fire has been ruled 'Accidental' and is believed to have started in the dryer in the laundry room. The house has been declared a total loss."
