The Alligator Pt/St Teresa VFD Board of Directors has had some recent changes among its officers. Paul Parker has assumed the role of Treasurer, and Alecia McCallister is now Secretary. Please join us at the firehouse at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 1 when the VFD will hold its annual meeting and election of new board members. Community participation has dwindled in recent years, so we’d like to encourage every property owner to attend this meeting and have a say in your department’s future. We are still in grave need of volunteer firefighters and first responders. If anyone is interested and willing to give of their time, we will provide the training and necessary gear. . Despite intermittent rain showers, our area remains extremely dry. Please exercise extreme caution when conducting any outdoor burning, barbecuing, etc. If you’d like more information on burning, check out the University of Florida’s FIRE IN FLORIDA website – www.fireinflorida.comAnyone needing additional Alligator Pt property owners’ decals (circular blue with scallop shell design) should contact John Murphy, 349-2834 or southmoonunder@mchsi.com.
