On February 15, 2008, Franklin County mailed a survey "to determine the support of affected property owners within Alligator Point for the development and implementation of a special assessment program to fund beach renourishment improvements on portions of the Alligator Point shoreline. This survey has been sent to every property owner that may be affected by the proposed improvements".

The ballot must be returned to the Franklin County Supervisor of Elections Office by mail and must be postmarked on or before March 7, 2008 to be valid and included in the survey results. Please refer to the survey for complete details.

NOTE: If the project is approved, construction should start in May with an anticipated completion in 90 days.
