Alligator Point Water Resources District will be constructing a New Office and Maintenance Building in 2009-2010. This project is to provide better infrastructure and to be able to continue to serve the residents of the potable water system more effectively.

A meeting for the opening of sealed bids took place on September 23, 2009, at the Alligator Point Volunteer Fire Department. This meeting was advertised in the Tallahassee Democrat and the Apalachicola Times. A Special Meeting to award the bid took place on October 6, 2009 at the Alligator Point Volunteer Fire Department as posted in a public notice. The Alligator Point Water Resources District voted on which bidder to award at the October 6^th meeting.
