Posted November 8, 2009 Proposed Expansion of the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge Public Hearings Scheduled The St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge is seeking public input on a proposal to add an additional 35, 295 acres to the refuge. The additional acreage lies in Wakulla, Jefferson, Franklin, and Taylor counties. According to the proposal, land within the approved acquisition boundary would only be purchased from willing sellers/owners.
