Alligator Drive Repair
At the request of the Alligator Point\St Teresa Association Board of Directors, (APSTA) officials from Franklin County attended the monthly board meeting of the Alligator Point\St Teresa Association on November 12. They reported on the status of repair work on the one thousand foot portion of Alligator Drive, East of the Tom Roberts Road (the one way dirt road section), which was damaged during Hurricane Hermine.
FEMA has made some assessment of damage incurred and the county has submitted a proposal for repair.
Recently, FEMA returned to Alligator Point and are working with county officials to develop a plan, (including funding) .
Alan Pierce said he was open to including representatives of APSTA as plans are developed and finalized.
Everyone is anxious to move forward with repair as soon as possible.
We will report progress as the process moves along.
